Aged Vintage Door Knobs
A good photo to compare the aged brass and antique brass finishes and styles of “Cushion” vintage door knobs.
Cushion knobs are round knobs, but slightly flatter than ball knobs (a “squashed” ball knob!).
On the left is the CR 6347 Reeded Cushion Knob in Antique Brass.
In the centre is the CR 6347 Reeded Cushion Knob in Aged Brass.
On the right is the CR 1757 Plain Cushion Knob in Antique Brass.
Both aged and antique brass items are British made, solid, cast brass with an applied finish. They are both “living” finishes; this means that over time the raised edges are designed to wear slightly, to reveal the metal below. This ensures that each vintage door knob has a naturally aged appearance.
